We are looking for a Security Clearance Specialist for a state-owned actor in airport operations.

This is a consulting assignment. The location is Stockholm Arlanda.

The assignment covers approximately 80–100 % (approx. 30 hours per week) with a hybrid setup. The consultant is expected to be on-site at Arlanda at least three days per week, and during certain periods up to five days per week. Travel to other airports occurs regularly.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on independence, integrity, teamwork skills, and a professional work approach.

The role involves responsibility for independently conducting security clearance checks according to the Security Protection Act. The assignment includes, among other things, conducting background investigations and security clearance interviews, preparing decision support materials, and providing support in questions related to personnel security. The role is part of a team working to ensure legally secure and high-quality security clearance checks within the operations.

• Conduct background checks and background investigations prior to security clearance.

• Conduct security clearance interviews in a structured and legally secure manner.

• Compile supporting materials and draft proposals for suitability assessments prior to decisions.

• Support line managers in follow-up security clearance checks as needed.

• Contribute to maintaining and developing routines and methodological support within personnel security.

• Perform other tasks related to personnel security as needed.

• Specialist in personnel security with documented, independent experience of conducting background investigations and security clearance interviews according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

• The consultant must have good knowledge of the Security Protection Act legislation and the Swedish Security Service (SÄPO) guidelines, be accustomed to formulating decision support materials, and maintain structured documentation.

• At least 4 years of experience working with security clearance checks.

• Swedish at native level in speech and writing, and good English.

It is also meritorious if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Background from the Police, the Swedish Security Service, the Swedish Armed Forces, or equivalent investigative operations.

• Training in interview/conversation methodology.

• Experience from aviation or other critical infrastructure.
