Do you want to be part of a growth phase and contribute to increased security for Sweden?
Are you a Fire Protection Specialist with experience in organizational and building technical fire protection?
Does this sound like you? Then we have the job for you!
The Swedish Armed Forces Infrastructure Department is now strengthening its team with a Fire Protection Specialist.
About the Department
The Headquarters Support Infrastructure (HKV FST STÖD INFRA) constitutes the Swedish Armed Forces' central organization responsible for, among other things, functionally directing and framing the infrastructure supply within the Swedish Armed Forces.
The position is managed by the Implementation Section, which is one of six sections at the Headquarters Infrastructure Department. This means that in your role, you may also represent other parts of the infrastructure process at the Headquarters.
About the Position
We are looking for you who are communicative and who wish to develop and be developed within both organizational and building technical fire protection. The Swedish Armed Forces' operations are broad and varied; we operate nationally and internationally, we train at both permanent and temporary locations, and we conduct work at our regular workplaces. This places demands on fire protection that is adapted to both conditions and needs.
Together with the department's other fire engineer, the task within the team is to coordinate, direct, follow up, and provide professional support in the Swedish Armed Forces' fire protection work.
The position will span both organizational and building technical fire protection. This may include, for example:
- development and implementation of training (both digital and lecture-based)
- development of templates and support documents
- consultancy
In addition, the role involves working with follow-up and analysis of, for example, inspections and incident reports, developing handbooks and regulations, and collaborating with other functional representatives within the fire protection area. The position includes both leading and participating in various project works as well as conducting independent work.
The Swedish Armed Forces operate in everything from newly built facilities to state-protected heritage buildings hundreds of years old. This, combined with the fact that we operate in most business classes and are in a phase of growth, creates a wide range of issues you will work with.
Requirements

- Fire Inspector or equivalent with knowledge and experience that the employer deems relevant
- Relevant experience in planning and conducting fire protection training/lectures
- Ability to understand the importance of correct handling of classified information
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
Personal Attributes
To succeed and thrive in the role, you should be communicative, have good collaboration skills, and be confident in both yourself and your professional role. You should have a strong drive to develop and improve.
You have a desire to share your experiences within the organization and enjoy having a pedagogical role. You are motivated to find solutions that work for the operations and have the ability to handle complex tasks, sometimes with short deadlines.
You have the ability to discern when a task requires careful consideration and when it is more important that it is handled "well enough" to ensure progress.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
