ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an IT Security Engineer, you will become part of a team working to develop and strengthen the security of technical systems. You will work closely with developers, system engineers, and other technical functions, contributing to building systems with high security from the start.

In this role, you will work practically with Linux-based environments, focusing on system hardening, scripting, and secure system design. You will analyze security risks, implement improvements, and contribute to making systems robust and resilient. This role suits you if you enjoy understanding how systems work, solving technical problems, and driving the work forward independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with hardening of Linux-based systems
• Write scripts for automation and configuration
• Participate in the design of secure system solutions
• Identify and manage security risks and vulnerabilities
• Document system design, technical solutions, and security requirements
• Collaborate closely with developers, system engineers, and other technical teams

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

• Have an engineering degree, such as a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Have a few years of experience with Linux in a technical role
• Have experience writing scripts, for example in Bash or Python
• Have worked with system hardening, IT security, or secure system development
• Have an understanding of how software is built and functions, preferably through experience in system or software development
• Have experience with technical documentation related to system design and requirements
• Speak and write fluently in Swedish and English, as both languages are used in the role

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Jenkins or similar tools
• Virtualization
• Security standards such as CIS, NIST, or similar frameworks
• Penetration testing or vulnerability scanning
• Defense or security industry

This is a consulting assignment, meaning you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant at our client's site.

• Scope: Full-time
• Start: As agreed
• Location: On-site at Solna Strand, with some presence in Järfälla
• Work model: The work is performed primarily on-site at the client
• Salary: Market competitive monthly salary
