About the role
As an SBA/Fire Safety Coordinator, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and developing the systematic fire safety work (SBA) within the operation. You actively work to ensure that governing documents are followed and that fire safety work is conducted in accordance with current laws, regulations, and procedures.
In this role, you are responsible for the control and management of fire alarm and sprinkler systems, as well as having an understanding of how these systems interact with the building's other technical systems. You perform monthly checks and quarterly tests of fire alarms and sprinklers, contributing to a structured and well-functioning fire safety operation.
You will become part of an engaged team of approximately three employees working on fire safety at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm. We continuously invest in competence development and team development, as hospitals constitute a strategically important part of our operations.
About you
We are looking for someone who is structured, responsible, and has a strong commitment to fire safety issues. You work meticulously, have good collaboration skills, and enjoy planning, following up on, and developing working methods. You feel confident in your competence and find it easy to build good relationships with colleagues, customers, and subcontractors.
To succeed in the role, you need:
- The Swedish Fire Protection Association's training in Fire Safety Coordinator or equivalent education/competence
- The Swedish Fire Protection Association's training in Fire Safety Leader blocks 1-3 and 4-5, with several years of experience
- Upper secondary education (high school diploma)
- Training as a supervisor for flammable substances
- Documented experience and at least five years of in-depth knowledge in systematic fire safety work
- Experience in planning and following up on fire safety work
- Good knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, especially the Act on Emergency Preparedness (LSO 2003:778)
- Good knowledge of relevant IT systems and Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Class B driver's license
Meritorious qualifications
- Experience in fire safety work within healthcare environments
- Hot Work certification
- Work at Heights / Fall Protection
- First Aid
- Fire Alarm and Sprinkler System Operator certification
- Basic knowledge of ABFF/AFF
