About the Role

Do you want to make a difference? If you are not already a licensed security guard, Securitas will cover the cost of your training prior to employment.

As a patrol security guard, your main task is to deliver safety to our customers – primarily at industrial sites, offices, and workshops – by protecting property and buildings against fire, theft, and damage. Usually, you are the one managing the alarm systems and reporting using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and often experienced as free-flowing, but with significant responsibility.

As a stationary security guard, your main task is to deliver safety to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring everything is in order. You often work at the entrance to a larger company, checking those entering and leaving, but you may also perform patrols and camera surveillance. Duties vary from customer to customer. You work independently and under your own responsibility.

The positions suit you if you enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, day or night. Shift lengths vary, but are often 12-hour shifts, either day or night. Since we operate year-round, it is common to work every other weekend.

• Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school
• Category B driver's license

Merits if you

• have worked with similar tasks previously
• have a valid security guard education
• have a civil or military protective guard education

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you must have approved grades from the first year of upper secondary school in Swedish and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be required. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval under the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information collected may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
