Järfälla is located two miles northwest of Stockholm City Centre, with approximately 90,000 inhabitants. Although the big city is close – just 20 minutes by commuter train or car to Stockholm C – most amenities are found within the municipality. The Urban Development Administration, which includes the Property Department, has a broad mandate covering everything from the early stages of the urban development process to daily operations and long-term management. We are a team of over 320 employees working under the Environmental and Building Permits Committee, the Technical Committee, and the Municipal Executive Board. Järfälla is an expanding municipality; we are growing both geographically and organizationally.

The Property Department consists of around 50 employees and is responsible for approximately 430,000 m² of commercial space, including schools, preschools, cultural and sports facilities, as well as care and elderly housing.

The department consists of three units: the Administration Unit, the Customer and Technical Unit, and the Project Management Unit. We are now recruiting a Safety Coordinator for the Customer and Technical Unit.

Job Description

As a Safety Coordinator, you are responsible for the ongoing case handling, management, and development of our security technical systems, such as fire alarms, intrusion alarms, access control systems, locks, and extinguishing systems.

• Collaborate closely with colleagues in daily operations.
• You coordinate measures with contractors and operations, follow up on and ensure functionality and compliance with authority requirements, and contribute technical expertise in fire protection, physical, and electronic security.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Good knowledge of fire protection, building technology, electronic, and physical security.
• Education in security and/or building regulations, or work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Several years of experience in advisory, service, and troubleshooting work, preferably within the security industry.
• Knowledge of regulations concerning security issues.
• Good skills in the Office package.
• A B-class driver's license and pedagogical ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Meritorious is experience working with or in a politically governed organization.
