About the Role

We are now looking for a Senior Security Officer with a focus on security protection and governance. We offer an exciting and developmental opportunity to work on protecting Swedish infrastructure and energy supply.
You will become part of Vattenfall's security organization, Corporate Security & Resilience, which leads and coordinates security and resilience work within the Group. With high competence, we support the company with strategic decisions, governance, and continuously drive and develop the company's work. The organization is a holistic, modern, flexible, and agile security function with extensive knowledge of the security political situation in the external environment as well as Vattenfall's role in Sweden's and Europe's energy supply.
You will report to the Director Security Regulation & Supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Group Governance within the area of security protection (personnel security, physical security, and information security) within our Group Security Management System.
- Develop, coordinate, and follow up on work regarding security protection and supervision issues by driving or participating in various projects, investigations, or working groups.
- Act as an advisor to the security protection organizations in our subsidiaries.
- Play an active role in our Group-wide security protection forum.
- Actively participate in our monitoring & influencing process where we analyze upcoming legislative changes and write consultation responses related to the security area, primarily security protection.
- Conduct internal audits and internal controls focused on security protection, NIS, and CER within the Group.
- Support the Vattenfall Group during authority supervision within the NIS/CER and security protection areas.
- Stay updated and have good knowledge of best practices within the industry, legal requirements, and how the geopolitical landscape affects the company, customers, and the energy sector.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- Several years of documented experience working with security protection at a strategic level, as well as practical application of laws and regulations regarding personnel security, information security, and physical security.
- An academic degree, preferably in law or security protection, or equivalent work experience.
- Current and good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing security protection work, preferably including NIS & CER legislation.
Merits:
- Experience with information security within security protection.
- Experience as a Security Protection Officer or Deputy Security Protection Officer.
- Experience from the energy sector or other critical infrastructure.
- Experience from both the private and public sectors.

You will collaborate with several different stakeholders, so we are looking for someone who enjoys working with others. To succeed in the role, we see that you are structured and meticulous. We value your communication skills, and you have experience producing texts and materials in both Swedish and English.
