As a security guard at Avarn Security, you will have an exciting daily routine where your task is to strengthen our customers' sense of security and contribute to a safer environment. A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various settings. The job involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, and ensuring that security procedures are followed. Security guards often work in close contact with people and must be able to act calmly and professionally in both everyday situations and during incidents. The work can range from alarm responses and access control to reporting deviations and collaborating with the police or other authorities. The role demands high responsibility, integrity, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

We are currently looking for several security guards in Järna. In this role, you will be part of a team working around the clock in many different environments with very varied tasks.

Therefore, you should be prepared to work long shifts and varying hours. Your main tasks will be patrolling and responding to alarms, but other assignments such as stationary guarding may also arise.

Workplace: Järna

Working hours: Variable, both day and night.

Duration: On-demand employment, permanent with a 6-month probation period.

Start date: According to agreement.

Salary: According to collective agreement.

Qualifications: We are looking for security-conscious, social, empathetic, and positive individuals with inner confidence and a natural drive to help others. Security guards work in many different environments with very varied tasks – we are looking for you who enjoy working with people and have a clear service-oriented commitment. We also appreciate if you can communicate fluently in English.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and move forward in the process but do not already hold the required education (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training! The security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA (The Security Industry's Vocational and Environmental Committee). Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment.

Additional Requirements:

In addition to the personal qualities we seek, you must meet basic requirements to qualify for the position. You must be of legal age, have approved upper secondary school grades, and hold a Category B driver's license as this is a car-borne position.

You must also be crime-free*, drug-free, have a sound financial situation, and be in good health and physical condition to be employed by Avarn Security.

Security guard training is meritorious for these positions. Other meritorious qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.

* To be employed by Avarn Security AB, you must be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company, in accordance with the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies.
