Do you want to work closely with urban planning where your analyses have direct significance for how a new planning area can be developed? In this role, you are responsible for a risk assessment in an early detailed planning stage, where the location and design of buildings are not yet established. The assignment involves creating a robust decision-making basis for permanent residence, protective distances, and risk-reducing measures.

You operate in a municipal urban planning environment where the planning area borders a road with hazardous goods transport, and several prerequisites need to be weighed together in the continued planning work. This means that you not only analyze risks, but also contribute guidance that influences the design of the detailed plan throughout the entire process, from early assessment to supplements and possible statements.

This is an exciting opportunity for you who want to combine technical risk analysis with concrete impact on future land use and urban planning.

• You inventory surrounding risk sources and identify which risks are relevant when developing the planning area.
• You assess risks related to, among other things, hazardous goods and calculate individual and societal risk.
• You propose risk-reducing measures and provide advice regarding the placement of permanent residence and the design of the detailed plan proposal.
• You discuss the need for protective measures and recommend suitable solutions based on the risk picture.
• You complete and deepen the assessment during the planning process and assist in dialogues on how risks can be reduced.
• You contribute with supporting material in case of appeals and can support in statements to court.
• You produce a written report that clearly presents the method, assumptions, standards, uncertainties, and recommendations.
• You deliver map data with, for example, protective distances and measure placements in requested formats.

• You have experience from previous assignments involving risk assessments.
• You have experience in risk analysis for detailed planning or similar planning-related assignments.
• You can independently identify, assess, and communicate risks in early planning stages.
• You have a good ability to calculate individual and societal risk and translate the analysis into clear action proposals.
• You can produce written assessments with a clear presentation of method, assumptions, and uncertainties.
• You are accustomed to working with map data and georeferenced information, including deliveries in SHP format and, if necessary, DWG format.
• You can deliver reports that meet accessibility requirements according to EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1.
• You communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
