Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic music teacher to join our team at Grythyttan School (Grades 1–6). In this role, you will teach students in grades 1–6 and create inspiring lessons that spark their interest in music. You will be responsible for planning and conducting music lessons in a safe and creative learning environment, while collaborating with colleagues to promote student learning and development. Responsibilities

• Teach music to students in grades 1–6.
• Lead and plan music instruction in accordance with the school's goals and governing documents.
• Use methods and approaches that support students' individual development and learning.
• Document and evaluate student progress, and communicate development to guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching practices and contribute to a pleasant and safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Primary School Teacher degree with a specialization in music for grades 1–6.
• Strong ability to work based on governing documents and adapt teaching to students' needs.
• If no qualified applicants are available, the employer may consider hiring an unqualified person deemed suitable for the role, on a time-limited basis according to the Education Act.

Merits

Conditions

The position is part-time (25%) and requires a teaching license for permanent employment. A certificate of good conduct (police record) is required upon employment. Personal suitability is highly valued. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
