About the Company

Friskolan Asken in Strängnäs is a primary school with approximately 330 students in grades 4–9. The school is located in the beautiful nature area of Sundby Park, right next to Lake Mälaren, with good commuting opportunities. Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Friskolan Asken, you will become a key person in subject development within mathematics at the school. You will become part of a subject team with other subject teachers in mathematics who collaborate closely and without hierarchy to create the best possible conditions for every student. Together with your subject colleagues, you will plan, implement, and develop the subjects to create as equal teaching and assessment as possible. Mentorship is included in the position, where you, together with a colleague, are responsible for a class and follow their development both academically and socially. This is a full-time holiday position, with a 6-month probationary period.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified subject teacher with qualifications to teach mathematics and preferably several natural science subjects in grades 6–9. As a Senior Teacher, you should have solid experience in the teaching profession and have previously worked successfully with subject development. To succeed in the role, you are a secure and relationship-building teacher who builds trust among students, guardians, and colleagues. You thrive in collaboration with others and want to help develop teaching together with your team. At the same time, you are solution-oriented, structured, and motivated by working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference for every student. You are confident in your teaching role and have a structured way of working. You believe in every student's potential to succeed and work actively to develop both their knowledge and their belief in their own abilities.
