Job Responsibilities

The core of your assignment consists mainly of teaching. You are well-versed in LGR 22 and have experience in planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting, and following up on students' knowledge development.

• Together with the school leadership, act as a process leader and lead development, analysis, and changes based on selected development areas through systematic quality work.
• Be a driving force in the school's work towards more equitable teaching based on students' needs.
• Support teachers in anchoring teaching in current research and proven experience.
• Develop teaching materials at the school with the aim of raising the quality of teaching.
• Lead discussions regarding teachers' reflections and development of their teaching, thereby enabling lasting and long-term changes at the school. Strengthen teachers' ability to use each other as resources in teaching.
• Study colleagues' teaching methods with a scientific approach as a basis for pedagogical discussions.
• Contribute to the development of pedagogical models that make student learning visible.
• Support colleagues and VFU (Work-Integrated Learning) supervisors during the practice-based education, as well as act as a mentor during induction periods.
• Support colleagues who lack formal education in the work with planning, implementation, and assessment.
• Have the ability to mentor colleagues in acquiring alternative teaching methods.

As a senior teacher at our school, your salary will be 10,000 SEK/month in addition to your base salary.

Qualifications

• Legitimized teacher for grades F-6.
• You work in accordance with the curriculum and have experience with it.
• You are interested in developing students' abilities both academically and socially. You are not afraid to work in teams regarding students and share responsibility with colleagues.
• Four years of well-regarded work with teaching from your current or previous employer, where a good ability to improve students' study results and a strong interest in teaching have been demonstrated.

In your cover letter, you must describe and argue for approximately 500 words, WHY you are suited for a senior teacher position and HOW you work to improve students' goal achievement.

Base this on: HOW you think, WHAT you do, and WHY (e.g., in the meeting with the student, leadership in the classroom, work methods), as well as HOW YOU HAVE CONTRIBUTED to development work in your school or in the operation.

The assignment is for 2 years, but the contracts will apply for 1 year at a time (1+1). This does not mean that the senior teacher is replaced after each year. To be employed as a senior teacher with us, you will receive a basic employment as a teacher F-6. Since the senior teacher assignment is time-limited, an agreement during ongoing employment will be drawn up.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
