As a security guard at Avarn Security, you will have an exciting daily routine where your task is to strengthen our customers' sense of security and contribute to a safer environment. A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various settings. The profession involves preventing and handling risks by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, and ensuring that security procedures are followed. Security guards often work in close contact with people and need to be able to act calmly and professionally in both everyday situations and during incidents. The work can range from responding to alarms and access control to reporting deviations and collaborating with the police or other authorities. The role places high demands on responsibility, integrity, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

The customer places great trust in us, and your work as a security guard is important. You contribute every shift to creating security and safety for the customer and society at large, as your work creates preventive protection against crime, improved fire safety, and much more. You will meet all members of society, and it is important that you are clear, calm, and able to make thoughtful decisions.

Qualifications

In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe, you must meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• Be at least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school diploma
• Good Swedish language skills (spoken and written)
• Category B driver's license

You must also be unconvicted*, drug-free, have a sound financial situation, as well as good health and physical fitness to be employed by Avarn Security.

Security guard training is meritorious for these positions. Other meritorious qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and proceed in the process but do not already hold the prescribed education (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA (The Security Industry's Vocational and Occupational Health Committee). Participation is a prerequisite for employment.
