About Region Stockholm
The Police Region Stockholm consists of Stockholm County and Gotland. The operations in the region are organized into four police districts: North, City, South, and Gotland, which together are divided into 19 local police districts. Furthermore, there are four regional units: the Border Police, the Operational Unit, the Intelligence Unit, and the Investigation Unit, a regional office, as well as national departments represented in the region to support police operations.
About the Intelligence Unit
The Intelligence Unit in Region Stockholm is responsible for intelligence activities in the region. At the unit, operational and strategic intelligence work is conducted with the aim of preventing, hindering, and detecting criminal activity. The assignment mainly involves collecting, processing, analyzing, and disseminating information that serves as a basis for decisions on operational measures.
The work is conducted on a strategic, operational, and tactical time scale.
About the Processing Section
The core task of the Processing Section is to systematically handle and prioritize the daily flow of information to the Intelligence Unit, as well as to serve as a contact point for other partners, both internally within the agency and towards intelligence functions in other agencies.
About the Group
As Group Leader, you are responsible for the processing operations in the Central Group at the Processing Section. The group collaborates with other sections at the Intelligence Unit and shares joint responsibility for all incoming intelligence information for the entire region. As Group Leader, you are the direct manager for approximately 8-10 employees.
Job Description
As Group Leader, you report to the Section Chief and are part of the section's management group, where you jointly ensure that assignments are carried out and drive the agency's change and development work. You have special responsibility for the group's area of operation and its results. As a manager, you represent the entire Swedish Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.
Being a manager and leader within the Swedish Police Authority means creating safety and building trust by exercising honest, courageous, and attentive leadership with trust in others' competence and ability. As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that ensures we follow the law and treat people equally. You create conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for the citizens and the mission as a whole.
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- A Swedish police degree or other post-secondary education relevant to the function, or equivalent acquired experience assessed as relevant by the employer.
- At least 6 months of continuous experience working as a team leader, project manager, or similar.
- Experience participating in change and development work.
- Experience in intelligence and/or investigation activities.
- Swedish citizenship.
We consider it meritorious if you additionally have:
- Experience leading others towards set goals and results.
- Participated in management forums.
- Experience of the police organization's operations.
- Management and leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels.
- Experience participating in/driving collaboration with societal actors outside the police organization/own organization.
