About the Role

Do you want an active job where you are outdoors in the fresh air while simultaneously making a difference for traffic safety? As a parking warden, you are a key part of creating order, security, and a positive experience in the urban environment.

The role involves checking and reporting illegally parked vehicles as well as informing the public about upcoming changes in the traffic environment. The work is varied and involves moving around outdoors year-round, which suits you if you enjoy being active and on the move for most of the day. You work together with colleagues, making teamwork and a collaborative spirit important skills. We offer a work environment where we support each other and value different perspectives.

The positions are flexible between centrally located site offices in Stockholm. The positions are permanent (we apply a 6-month probation period) on a full-time basis. The work may include both patrolling parking assignments and car-borne assignments. The position is primarily located during daytime, Monday–Friday, but you will occasionally work early morning shifts, evenings, and weekends. There may also be possibilities to work shifts on a 5:2 schedule.

Requirements for Applicants

In addition to personal qualities, you must meet the following basic requirements:

• Ability to complete a 4-week basic training for Public Law Parking Wardens starting August 10, 2026.
• High school education with passing grades in Swedish and English.
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
• Good health and physical fitness.
• Category B driver's license.

Additionally, you must be crime-free, drug-free, have sound finances, and be in good health and physical condition to be employed by Avarn Security.

*As a final step in the recruitment process, Avarn Security offers and covers the cost of a place in a basic training course for public law parking wardens. No salary is paid during the 4 weeks of training. Completion and approval of the basic training with 100% attendance is a prerequisite for employment.

** To be employed within Avarn Security AB, you must be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company, in accordance with the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies. Applications to the County Administrative Board are handled by Avarn Security. Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements of the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. This assessment covers lawfulness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information collected may come from you, from open sources, or from authorities. When assessing suitability for a position, we always apply a holistic assessment.
