Construction Health and Safety Coordinator (BAS-U), Administrator – Major Infrastructure Project

We are looking for an experienced and independent Construction Health and Safety Coordinator (BAS-U Administrator) for a comprehensive and technically complex infrastructure project in the Stockholm region. The role involves working closely with the client organization and contractors in an environment where safety, structure, and coordination are crucial.

This is a long-term full-time assignment of up to four years, requiring physical presence at the workplace five days a week.

About the Assignment

You will work as an integrated part of the project organization, responsible for health and safety coordination during the production phase. The project involves major contracts in an environment with ongoing traffic and high demands on planning, safety, and collaboration.

The work includes both daytime hours and some work during inconvenient times (evenings/nights/weekends) related to production-critical moments.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate health and safety work on the construction site
• Ensure that health and safety risks are identified, managed, and prevented
• Participate in the planning of work and schedules from a health and safety perspective
• Ensure that contractors collaborate and comply with current health and safety regulations
• Establish, update, and follow up on the health and safety plan
• Organize protective work and ensure compliance at the workplace
• Ensure that only authorized personnel have access to the work area
• Coordinate with other functions and actors within the project

Requirements (Mandatory)

• University or college education of at least 180 ECTS credits with a technical focus, or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of experience in production management or construction management within infrastructure or railway projects (within the last 10 years)
• At least 1 year of experience as a BAS-U (responsible person or administrator) in infrastructure or railway projects
• Completed BAS-P/U training (not older than 5 years)
• Valid BASÄSKYDD training or the ability to complete it within 4 months
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Preferred Qualifications (Meritorious)

• Several years of experience as a responsible BAS-U in major infrastructure projects
• Extensive experience in production management or construction management in complex environments
• Documented ability to work solution-oriented within the health and safety field
• Ability to translate regulations into practical and project-specific solutions
• Experience driving dialogue with multiple stakeholders such as project management, contractors, and authorities
• Experience from large and complex infrastructure contracts

Workplace and Conditions

• Location: Stockholm region (Södertälje and surroundings)
• Full-time, approx. 40 hours/week
