The Agency is conducting extensive development work, including in the area of civil defense and mobilization within migration and asylum, with mandates from both the government and the EU.

The Security Division of the Swedish Migration Agency is part of the headquarters and has overall responsibility for security and preparedness within the Agency. The Security Division is in an expansion phase, and we are now looking for you who want to contribute to strengthening our work within operational security. As an expert in operational security, you will be placed at the Security Unit, where we are responsible for the Agency's protective security as well as operational security, and where experts in physical security, information security, and protective security are gathered.

Job Description

We are now looking for you who have solid experience working with systematic security work, such as developing operational analyses, risk and vulnerability assessments, planning, control, and follow-up within protective security/operational security and close to the operations. We view it positively if you have broad experience in both protective security and operational security, as this role will operate within and between both areas.

You will participate in the development of systematic work within the areas of protective security and operational security, including planning, analysis development, and follow-up. The position involves a mix of strategic work such as development, steering, and follow-up, and operational support to the business.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Since the position is security-classified, it requires that you are a Swedish citizen.

We are looking for you who have:

• an academic education assessed as relevant for the position, or other education combined with current experience relevant to the role
• several years of current experience in operational security
• documented experience in working with analysis, planning, control, and follow-up of security work
• documented experience regarding relevant legislation and standards in the field, as well as good knowledge of upcoming legislation, e.g., within CER
• experience in operational development
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is meritorious if you:

• have formal education in the security field and protective security
• have experience working in protective security
• have experience working in the public sector
• have experience and knowledge of working strategically in other relevant security areas, such as information security
• have experience in following up and developing processes in government agencies and/or larger organizations
• have experience in project management

Employment with us involves security-classification. A security check with register control according to the Protective Security Act (2018:585) will therefore be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
