To our client, we are now looking for a Security Clearance Specialist

Job Description

The Supplier Security Unit acts as the requirement setter and supports, coordinates, and follows up on the client's internal work regarding security-cleared procurement. The unit handles the entire chain from the special security clearance assessment to the signing and follow-up of security clearance agreements. Security clearance agreements aim to ensure security clearance during public procurement, contract signing, or cooperation/collaboration. The unit's work is largely linked to the authority's compliance with security clearance legislation. As a Security Clearance Specialist, you will have a responsible role where, through good personal knowledge and well-founded assessments, you conduct security checks on candidates who are to participate in security-sensitive activities within the authority. Your work is crucial to ensure that our collaborations take place under the right conditions and with high security clearance. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to develop the personnel security process and support employees with knowledge deepening in personnel security. We would appreciate it if you have an interest in environmental monitoring, culture, and languages.

The role includes the following tasks:

• Conduct security checks.
• Educate and guide within personnel security.
• Conduct background investigations.
• Identify development needs and areas for improvement for the unit's work regarding personnel security.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of work experience in personnel security within the framework of security clearance legislation.
• At least 5 years of work experience in independently handling security clearance interviews, background checks, assessments, and documentation.
• At least 5 years of work experience in conducting background investigations within the framework of security clearance.
• At least 2 years of work experience from a government authority, municipality, region, or other publicly governed body.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in educating, guiding, or advising within personnel security and security clearance.
• Experience in developing processes and governing documents within personnel security.
• Education in linguistics, interrogation, or equivalent education, or alternatively acquired knowledge through work experience.
