We are looking for a substitute teacher for Björsäter School!

Björsäter School is located in a beautiful environment surrounded by forests, lakes, and fields in the northern part of Åtvidaberg Municipality. There are approximately 70 students attending mixed-age teaching groups, and the school also has an after-school center (fritidshem) designed to complement the school both in terms of time and content. Our goal and focus are to work towards increased goal achievement and improved school attendance among the students.

Your responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, teaching, follow-up, and assessment for students in grades 4-6. The position includes being a homeroom teacher, collaborating with other homeroom teachers, the student health team, and guardians to support each student in reaching their full potential based on their prerequisites. Active participation in other meetings for collegial collaboration and recess supervision is also included in the role.

You who apply

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher, preferably with qualifications in Science, Swedish, English, or Mathematics for grades 4-6. We would appreciate if you have experience teaching at the intermediate level.

To succeed in this role, we see that you are calm and confident and have an easy time collaborating. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and the different prerequisites of individuals. You show interest by actively listening and giving feedback. We also see that you have the ability to create good relationships with others by being attentive, showing empathy, and respect. We also see that you are flexible and adapt easily to changed circumstances.

About the employment

The position is a substitute role during the school year 2026/2027 with 100% employment. Start date: 2026-08-10. The employment lasts until 2027-06-10 with the possibility of extension.
