IBAB is looking for a driven Financial Controller

Do you want to take full responsibility for finance and accounting in a real estate company, while simultaneously helping to develop future working methods in a business with short decision-making paths? Then this might be the role for you.

As the Financial Controller at IBAB, you will become a central function in a smaller team where collaboration, engagement, and responsibility are in focus.

About the role

In this role, you have overall responsibility for the company's finances, accounting, and reporting. The role combines strategic and operational responsibilities, where you both ensure quality in daily financial work and drive the development of financial processes and working methods.

You function as a qualified support for the CEO and other functions in the company, as well as preparing decision-making materials for management and the board. An important part of the role is to ensure that financial reporting meets the requirements of both the group and the municipality, and that current laws, policies, and steering documents are complied with.

The position is located in Borås, and you report to the CEO.

Main responsibilities

• Responsible for ongoing accounting, bookkeeping, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up work, as well as prepare analyses and decision-making materials.
• Ensure financial reporting according to the company's and municipality's requirements, including group reporting.
• Responsible for liquidity planning.
• Handle tax and VAT matters.
• Act as a contact person for auditors and collaborate on financial management with the City of Borås.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and steering documents, and develop and streamline financial routines.

We see that you have:

• Post-secondary education in economics (university/college).
• Several years of experience in qualified financial work, approx. 5 years or more.
• Good knowledge of accounting, closing, and financial follow-up.
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience working in a group structure.
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing.
• Good system proficiency.

• Experience in financial work within the real estate industry.
