We are now looking for a substitute teacher in Swedish, English, and Science (NO) for year 5 at Kyrkskolan in Mellösa.

HERE ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher of Swedish, English, and Science for year 5, you have an inspiring role where you combine language development with scientific exploration. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching so that it challenges students and aligns with the curriculum (Lgr22). Through a varied approach, you spark students' curiosity and desire to learn, whether it involves deepening understanding of a text, developing English language skills, or conducting hands-on experiments in Science.

In the classroom, you lead the work with clear structure and pedagogical sensitivity. You actively work to strengthen students' study skills and their ability to think critically, while being the secure anchor the group needs during their important middle school years. Through formative assessment, you follow each student's learning journey and adapt teaching to ensure everyone has the opportunity to succeed and develop based on their own prerequisites.

You will become an important part of Kyrkskolan's staff and collaborate closely with your colleagues in the work team to create a safe and stimulating school day. A central part of the role also involves maintaining a good and trusting dialogue with guardians. You actively participate in the school's joint meetings and contribute your engagement to help us continue developing our operations in Mellösa.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

• You are a qualified teacher for instruction in Swedish, English, and Science.
• You have very good communicative skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• You have good knowledge of the compulsory school's steering documents and the ability to plan and implement clear, goal-oriented, and varied teaching.
• You have good digital competence and experience using digital tools in teaching.

Kyrkskolan in Mellösa is a smaller municipal rural school located approximately 6 kilometers north of Flen. Teaching is conducted here for students from preschool class to year 6, as well as for after-school centers and clubs. The school has approximately 120 students and works with a focus on safety, knowledge, and good relationships.
