About the Role

We are currently looking for a Social Secretary (Social Worker) to join our Adult Unit (Vuxenenheten) due to parental leave. Here, you will have the opportunity to work with people facing difficult life situations and be part of their journey towards change.

We support adults dealing with harmful substance use and addiction, as well as domestic violence. We also handle matters regarding financial assistance and social contracts, making the work both broad and meaningful.

Our Adult Unit is organized into different functions to ensure clarity and coordination. This includes an intake function handling new cases, processing of financial assistance (with a special focus on coordination), and specialized roles within domestic violence and work with adults struggling with substance abuse.

At present, it is not determined which specific area you will work in; this will be decided based on the unit's needs and your competencies. Regardless of placement, you will be a vital part of our team, contributing to providing support and guidance to people in vulnerable life situations.

Responsibilities

As a Social Secretary at the Adult Unit, you will have a varied and developing role where you meet people with respect, empathy, and engagement. Your tasks include:

• Conducting investigations and making decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM).
• Follow-up of interventions.
• Close collaboration with other municipal units, such as the labor market unit, Adult Education, outpatient social psychiatry, Children and Young People's Unit, healthcare providers, psychiatry, and addiction care.
• Close contact with clients, offering support, guidance, and motivational work.

You play a key role in creating safety and stability, both through counseling and concrete interventions.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a Social Worker (Socionom) or have another academic education that the employer deems equivalent, and who has a genuine interest in people. You are confident in your professional role, easy to collaborate with and communicate with, and comfortable working both independently and in teams.

Experience with authority-based work in the adult sector is a plus, but the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and the desire to make a difference. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
