Theatre Leader for Aktiv Ungdom Malmö (Fall Semester 2026)

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic theatre leader for our children's and youth activities at Aktiv Ungdom Malmö Association for the fall semester of 2026.

Role and Schedule

The position involves teaching for approximately 2–4 hours per week. This is an hourly position for work on weekday evenings and/or Saturdays during a 10–12 week period, with a break for the autumn holidays. The assignment covers the fall of 2026, roughly from August/September to December. The positions are located in various venues around Malmö, such as Limhamn, Hyllie, and Kirseberg.

About Us

We run a theatre and musical school for children from approximately 5 years old up to about 16 years old. Aktiv Ungdom Malmö is a children's and youth association offering cultural activities in dance, theatre, musical, and art school. Our ideology and working methods are based on method-based teaching with age grouping, with a strong focus on social cohesion within the group. We value the development of both the group and the individual, but we work with no elitist mindset. Throughout the year, we also host workshops, holiday programs, and events. Each semester, we stage a small theatre production where all students have the opportunity to participate.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about theatre and/or musicals and wants to share your knowledge with others.
• Is a social person who creates community and security for all children and young people, as well as for their parents and guardians.
• Enjoys development, both in yourself and in your students.
• Is self-motivated and independent. You are solely responsible during your theatre lessons, which includes tasks such as opening/clocking the venue, arming/disarming the alarm, and taking attendance.

Qualifications

We consider it a given that you have participated in or worked with theatre activities, been part of a theatre or musical group, and possibly have relevant education. If you also have experience working with children, it is a significant advantage.
