Do you want an interesting and meaningful job in one of society's most important operations? Then this might be the job for you! As an administrator/orderly guard at Eksjö District Court, you will work with varied and stimulating tasks in an exciting environment with a high tempo.

About Us

Eksjö District Court is an open and development-oriented workplace with dedicated employees. We currently have just over 25 employees, and the court consists of a target unit and an administrative unit. The workplace is characterized by close collaboration between employees.

We handle just over 2,500 cases and matters per year. Just over 45 lay judges are attached to the district court. The court's jurisdiction covers the municipalities of Eksjö, Vetlanda, Nässjö, Sävsjö, Aneby, and Tranås.

Together with the rest of the courts in the country, the district court forms the foundation of the judicial system and is a cornerstone of the democratic society.

We are now looking for one, or possibly two, administrators/orderly guards for our socially vital operations.

Main Responsibilities

The position is a combined role, meaning you will primarily work administratively but also as an expedition/orderly guard. To thrive with us, you must therefore be able to handle various administrative tasks and switch between roles.

You play an important role in the court's daily work, where we collaborate to fulfill the court's mission. The work is varied, social, and requires both structure and flexibility – perfect for you who thrive in a dynamic environment.

As an administrator/orderly guard, together with the court's other administrators/orderly guards, you will mainly work with issuing public documents and other administrative tasks, handle IT issues and provide technical support at the court (which also includes simpler installations), handle tasks related to alarms and telephone inquiries, be responsible for internal office services, handle simpler building maintenance, staff the court's reception, and participate in the court's security and fire safety work.

You are also willing to work overtime if necessary due to hearings sometimes continuing after regular working hours. It may become relevant to serve on occasional weekends when the court is on weekend standby.

Since we are a smaller court, the breadth of tasks is large, and it is a given for us that we help each other out.

Qualifications

  • Completed and approved upper secondary education with final grades/diploma
  • High IT maturity and experience in handling digital tools
  • Knowledge of and interest in technical issues, as well as understanding of how IT and operations interact
  • Good skills in spoken and written Swedish.

We would appreciate it if you have a valid orderly guard appointment; otherwise, you must be willing, prepared, and capable of undergoing orderly guard training, which is paid for by the employer during the probationary period. A valid orderly guard appointment is a requirement for permanent employment.

About You

An important part of the job is receiving and helping those who come to the court, as well as maintaining order and security. Therefore, it is important that you provide good service, are calm and confident as a person, and have an easy way with people.

For you, it is a given to collaborate and contribute to creating a pleasant atmosphere at the workplace. You work very well in a group where you strive for good cooperation and build good relationships with other colleagues.

Since the role is broad, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy switching between practical and administrative work, can handle a high tempo, and have the ability to reprioritize when needed.

You are good at organizing, planning, and prioritizing your tasks. You have a very high sense of responsibility and very good judgment.

You are responsible, engaged, meticulous, and efficient.

You take initiative but also contribute your competence to the group's joint work.

Your personal qualities and personal suitability for the position – especially regarding personal maturity, judgment, flexibility, and teamwork – are decisive.

To be considered for employment with us, you must meet high demands regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means you stand up for democratic values and the state's value base that underlies the courts' operations. We also demand that you follow laws and regulations.

We may possibly work with ongoing selection and interviews, so you are welcome to submit your application today!

The employment begins with a probationary period (six months).
