At Nordström Assistans, we are now looking for you who have your heart in the right place and want to enrich a person's life with specialized support.
What does the role entail? We are currently seeking personal assistants who wish to work extra as needed due to absence within the work group, as well as summer substitutes, for a young woman with Down syndrome residing in Vellinge.
The duties include assisting with daily routines and communication. The client has an interest in music, culture, theater, and dining out, so sharing these interests is a big plus. On weekdays, the client attends day activities between 11:00–15:00, during which you, as the assistant, will accompany them.
Knowledge of sign language is also a big plus!
Working hours are scheduled as follows for weekdays and weekends:
- 09:00 – 20:00
- 20:00 – 09:00 sleeping on-call (approx. 6.67 hours)
About you
As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful daily life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being.
We believe that you, as an applicant for this position, are a person who is sensitive, responsible, flexible, and cooperative. The most important factor is the personal chemistry between you and the client. This may be decisive in the final selection process.

Scope: Extra help as needed and summer substitutes. Number of positions: 1. Start date: According to agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position will be filled as soon as possible. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

Upon Employment To be employed by Nordström Assistans, you must have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the role. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you can present a valid ID document as well as a valid certificate of personal details (personbevis) and/or any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the certificate of personal details from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the role may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.
If you are to work with this client, you are required to present a certificate of no criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning the register check will include both the certificate of no criminal record and the certificate of suspicion record. The certificate is ordered via the Swedish Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order well in advance.
