Sally Bauer School is looking for a Spanish Teacher, Part-time 50%

Sally Bauer Schools is an independent operation consisting of three units: preschool, grades F–6, and upper secondary. We operate as a non-profit association, meaning any surplus is reinvested directly into the students.

Our school profile focuses on sports, health, and the environment. Our students participate in physical activities during school hours several times a week, resulting in energetic and alert children and teenagers.

Our small unit sizes foster excellent relationships between staff and students. We believe that strong relationships are the key to creating the safety and well-being we experience at our schools. The small scale also means decision-making is close to the ground, and we prioritize solving problems quickly. Your colleagues and managers are always accommodating, helpful, and readily available.

Our highly qualified teachers maintain high lesson quality. We generally offer a good study environment with peace and quiet, supported by several resource persons. Our lessons are primarily teacher-led but also incorporate formative assessment, cooperative learning, and thematic periods.

The schools achieve good results with high eligibility for upper secondary education. All students in the upper secondary section use Chromebooks, as do some students in the middle school section. We use Gleerup’s digital learning materials and Google Classroom. Our learning platform, Infomentor, is used for attendance registration, Individual Development Plans (IUP), and grade entry.

There is a strong drive among the staff to continuously develop the school and teaching methods, and you will be a vital part of this process. You will work within the school’s work team and collaborate closely with other language teachers in planning and assessment.

We engage in collegial professional development throughout the school year. Time invested in tasks such as literature reading and grading can be taken as leave during week 44. There is an opportunity to have pedagogical lunches with students, a wellness allowance is included, and we offer monthly massage services.

We are primarily looking for you who:

• are educated and certified as a subject teacher in Spanish for grades 7–9.
• have strong pedagogical competence, are a good leader, and excel at building individual relationships with each student.
• pay attention to order and discipline in the classroom.
• have good collaboration skills and contribute positive energy to your colleagues.
• are motivated to make every lesson as effective as possible and are driven to improve your teaching.
• are knowledgeable and confident in using digital tools in the classroom.
• preferably have a few years of teaching experience.

Other Details:

• Employment type: Permanent position with a six-month probation period.
• Scope: 50%
• Teaching in groups of 15–25 students in grades 6–9.
• Homeroom teacher duties may be included.
• Start date: 2026-08-12
• Salary: According to agreement.
