About the position

We are now looking for personal assistants for one of our male clients residing in Västerås.

Our client is a 67-year-old man who, following a severe stroke over 10 years ago, needs assistance in his daily life.

As a personal assistant, you will support the client with everything related to daily life, such as manual transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and activities, both inside and outside the home.

Details regarding the client's daily life that are important to follow:

• The client has aphasia and does not communicate verbally. He also has a very mild degree of epileptic tendency, which manifests at most once a year.
• The client loves following the news, enjoys sports and nature programs. He appreciates pleasant company and good food (shellfish are at the top of his list).
• Regular, simple exercise is important for his well-being.
• The partner does not work outside the home but is one of the assistants.

About you

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships.

We are looking for a person who is:

• Social, secure, easy-going, and curious.
• Accustomed to taking great responsibility.
• Patient.
• In possession of a driver's license (preferred).
• Quick to laugh and possessing a large portion of humor.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Finnish and/or Portuguese are a bonus.
• Flexible and willing to travel with our client.
• Previous experience in the care sector is preferred.
• In good physical condition.

Work in the home of elderly persons or adults with disabilities is subject to register control according to the Act (2026:43) on register control when working in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities. The law applies from March 1, 2026. In support of the law, we as a company have a policy to request extracts from the criminal record register in connection with new hires. The register control is carried out as a final step in the recruitment process and is part of our overall suitability assessment.

Working hours:

Work shifts are primarily scheduled between 08:00–21:00.

Night shifts may occur upon request but not according to a fixed schedule. Travel with overnight stays may occur.
