Mittuniversitetet's vision is to be a global university with regional engagement. We aim to continue our development by strengthening our research and deepening collaboration with external stakeholders. A key part of this is building our international student recruitment operations. We now offer an exciting opportunity to join us as an International Student Recruitment Manager to help build this function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
In the role of International Student Recruitment Manager, you will hold a key position in shaping and driving Mittuniversitetet's future international student recruitment. This is a role for you if you thrive on combining strategic responsibility with operational execution, and are driven by creating results through long-term relationships, trust-building, and target-group-specific communication.
You will represent Mittuniversitetet nationally and internationally, often in environments where the pace is fast and conditions change rapidly. The role therefore requires a high degree of flexibility, excellent planning skills, the ability to provide quick feedback, and a willingness to travel periodically, sometimes with short notice. Trade fairs, agent visits, webinars, etc., may also involve inconvenient working hours as target groups are located in different time zones. The primary working language will be English.
As the recruitment lead, you will have the opportunity to:
- develop and lead a brand-new agent collaboration network in selected markets
- create a holistic experience for prospective students through professional lead management – from first contact to enrollment
- work creatively and practically with recruitment activities both digitally and in person
- represent Mittuniversitetet internationally and build relationships that strengthen our global brand as a study destination
- be a driving force in the development of MIUN's international educational offerings and student journey for international program students
- work with analysis of target markets and follow up on recruitment results
- contribute to program development in collaboration with faculties, departments, and subjects, linked to relevant target groups
This is a role for you if you want to both build up a function and contribute to executing practical activities in an international context where relationships, contacts, and personal efforts can lead to development and new opportunities.
Your Background
We are looking for you who have:
- an academic degree in a relevant field
- experience in international student recruitment, international marketing, or agent management
- very good communicative skills in English
- experience from the higher education sector
Meritorious qualifications include:
- understanding of international education markets
- experience representing an organization internationally
Your Personality
You are development-oriented, independent, and proactive with a high degree of responsibility. You thrive in a role that combines long-term strategic work with practical execution, and you are relationship-building and communicative. International environments where many different interfaces and cultures meet appeal to you. You are flexible and solution-oriented, enjoy traveling, and representing the organization in international contexts.
The position requires that you are comfortable working at times adapted to different time zones or recruitment activities. To succeed in this role, you need to enjoy building relationships, creating trust, and acting professionally even when conditions change rapidly.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who wants to actively contribute to developing Mittuniversitetet's international presence and student recruitment.
Employment and Start Date
The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date of September 1, 2026, or as agreed.
Location: Sundsvall or Östersund
