Personal Assistant with Experience in Low-Affective Interaction & Autism
We are now looking for an engaged and responsible personal assistant who wants to work with a man in his 40s with autism and challenging behaviors. The position is for 50–75% with immediate start. If you have experience with low-affective interaction and thrive in a job where you have the opportunity to make a real difference – then this might be the right assignment for you.
About the Assignment
The man lives in his own house in Bodafors, just outside Nässjö, and needs support in his daily life. The work includes personal care, household chores, cooking, and support with medication. You will also accompany him to day activities and various events. Since he lives in a house, some maintenance of the home and garden is included.
Walks are a natural part of daily life and can vary from short trips to longer nature excursions.
Music is a major interest, and he plays the piano daily. Having your own interest in music is therefore an advantage. He also enjoys participating in activities such as county dances and music cafés, often with double assistance. Communication takes place through body language, sounds, and gestures, which requires you to be attentive, receptive, and confident in interpreting non-verbal signals.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for you who are calm, empathetic, and self-assured. You are patient, have a good ability to read situations, and can adapt your interaction to the individual's needs. You can take initiative but also cooperate well with others, as double assistance is used.
Experience with low-affective interaction, working with people with autism, or previous work as a personal assistant is an advantage.
A driver's license and access to your own car are required, as public transport is limited during working hours. The job also sometimes involves driving the client's car.
What We Offer
With us, you will get a varied and meaningful job where you have the opportunity to develop and contribute significantly. You will receive a thorough introduction and shadowing, and we offer regular training to ensure the quality of the assistance. We value well-being and long-term collaborations.
Employment Type & Working Hours
The position is for 50–75% with immediate start. Working hours include days, evenings, weekends, on-call duty (4-hour standby) and sometimes 24-hour shifts.
Application
Selection and interviews are conducted continuously – therefore, please submit your application as soon as possible.
