Lunagymnasiet is an independent upper secondary school located on Lidingö, catering to students with neuropsychiatric disabilities. We offer three national upper secondary programs that prepare students for higher education, as well as an introductory program – an individual alternative – for students who are not eligible for upper secondary school.

With competent and dedicated staff, we base our education on each student's abilities and prerequisites. We are now looking for a high school teacher in Social Studies who has a special interest and commitment to special pedagogy. It is an advantage if you have experience teaching multiple Social Studies subjects in primary school, and if your second subject is Geography or Swedish as a Second Language.

• Has experience working with children and young people in need of special support.
• Is a secure adult who sees different thought patterns as a pedagogical challenge and the students' opportunities to master new skills as something natural. You have a well-developed empathetic ability, which is a prerequisite as our students need great understanding and commitment.
• Is independent, flexible, and solution-oriented.
• Has a good ability to create, maintain, and develop relationships. You are unpretentious and believe in collaboration with the aim of developing and being developed.

You will teach on our national programs as well as the students on the introductory program. The work on the introductory program largely involves teaching towards primary school goals and helping students on an individual level. On all programs, the work involves helping students with structure and motivation.

Lunagymnasiet is located in the beautiful nature of Lidingö. The school is located directly adjacent to the Lidingö Nature Reserve and only 22 minutes from Stockholm Central Station with good transport links. The bus stops near the school. The school has a close collaboration with Luna Youth Residence, which is a boarding school and an LSS residence.

Lunagymnasiet is operated by Utvecklingspedagogik Sverige AB. Utvecklingspedagogik conducts educational and care activities that provide increased knowledge, quality of life, and participation in society for children, young people, and adults with disabilities. All activities are characterized by high quality, constant development, and individual focus.
