Marina Läroverket is a high school in a maritime environment with excellent opportunities to utilize both what the archipelago and the big city have to offer. Approximately 500 students attend the school, taught by competent and dedicated teachers who strive to support and challenge students in their studies, whether in the classroom or aboard one of the school's vessels. The school's pedagogical philosophy is to alternate theory with practice to give students deeper knowledge and understanding, preparing them well for working life or further studies.

The school offers five upper secondary programs with six specializations:

• A marine biology program (theoretical and practical)
• A marine technology program
• An economics program
• A social sciences program
• A nature tourism program

Marina Läroverket is now seeking teachers in Swedish and Psychology. Mentoring is also included in the position. The position is a fixed-term appointment for one academic year at 85%, starting in August 2026. A 6-month probationary period initiates the employment.

You will work in a team with close collaboration regarding the students based on well-established structures and working methods. The focus of the role is to collaborate collegially to create a learning environment where students thrive, feel good, and learn in different ways. The school places great emphasis on building a secure value base and safe groups where the maritime profile is the common factor.

• Broad knowledge of how classroom leadership leads to a good learning environment for all students.
• Strong subject knowledge.
• High goals for your teaching and are accustomed to evaluating how it turns out.
• Ease in collaborating with colleagues and student health services regarding students' learning and needs.
• Good teaching skills and find different ways to reach students' interests in subjects and learning.
• Good familiarity with handling adaptations within the framework of your teaching.
• Extensive experience in varying teaching and examinations so that students can demonstrate their knowledge in different ways.
