We are looking for an engaged vocational teacher/teacher for the Electrical and Energy Program!

We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher/vocational teacher at the upper secondary level. You have good pedagogical skills and can inspire and engage students in learning based on their different needs, varying your teaching methods. Furthermore, you easily build trust with students and are accustomed to having contact with parents. You value close collaboration with colleagues, are open to others' knowledge, strive to always develop your teaching, and participate in collegial learning.

At NTI Gymnasiet Örebro, we are now looking for a vocational teacher/teacher who wants to take overall responsibility for both teaching and the development of our students in working life.

About the position

In this role, you combine practical and theoretical teaching with an important assignment as the APL (Work-Integrated Learning) coordinator. You will become a key person in connecting the school with the industry and ensuring that our students receive state-of-the-art education.

Your main teaching areas include:

  • Network & Communication: You teach courses/subjects such as Communication Networks, Network Technologies, and Computer and Communication Technology.

  • Support & Coordination: You guide students in Computer Coordination and Support, where the focus is on everything from troubleshooting to customer service.

  • You also lead the important basic courses/subjects Electrical Technology and Energy Technology.

Your responsibility for APL

A central part of the position is the responsibility for the students' Work-Integrated Learning (APL). You work closely with the school's APL group to:

  • Quality assure and visit placement sites together.

  • Match students with the right companies.

  • Maintain close dialogue with supervisors in working life to follow up on students' progress.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a solid background in electricity, energy, or IT/networking. Perhaps you work in the industry today and want to switch tracks to pedagogy, or you are already a certified vocational teacher/teacher.

  • Are structured and confident in your role as an adult role model.

  • Have a broad network within the industry (or a desire to build one).

  • Are a team player who likes to collaborate with colleagues on APL matters.
