Do you want to be part of shaping the future of healthcare on Gotland?
Do you want to participate in the transition towards Good and Close care built around fixed contacts? Join us on Gotland! As a General Practitioner in primary care, you, together with your general medical team, focus on knowing the people on your list and taking personal responsibility for the medical support they need in their pursuit of better health. When working as a GP in primary care, you play a key role in the local community and contribute to making Gotland a better place for people at all stages of life. By striving for fixed contacts in care and support and facilitating collaboration for shared patients, Region Gotland is preparing its healthcare for future challenges. As a fixed doctor contact in primary care, you are your patients' link to high-quality, modern, and cohesive care and support, accessible to all. We work with the goal of offering our patients high accessibility and continuity with high generalist competence.
In the autumn of 2022, a political decision was made on Gotland to follow the National Board of Health and Welfare's benchmark of 1/1100. In May 2024, we reviewed the first year's work according to our action plan and could confirm that we have taken the steps we intended and a few more.
Visby Norr Health Centre
Visby Norr Health Centre has approximately 13,000 registered patients and around 40 employees who work together to provide increasingly patient-centered and accessible care. The health centre is in a phase of change and development with a strong focus on interaction, medical quality, and patient safety. In a changing healthcare world, we adapt and prioritize our working methods based on our patients' needs. Currently, there is intensive work underway to shift focus from diagnosis to medical assessment, continuity, and coordination. Here, you will have the opportunity to help shape the work in our general medical teams. We value professional personal interaction, continuity, accessibility, and long-term commitment.
We wish to strengthen our GP team and are looking for an engaged and flexible GP who wants to work as a generalist. Welcome to Visby Norr; we are a health centre with good cohesion and great drive!
Your Responsibilities
The tasks are varied, including doctor's consultations, doctor participation in special housing facilities and home care, as well as supervision of trainee doctors. On-call and standby duties are included. You will be responsible for a patient list based on the benchmark of 1/1100. The health centre has the privilege of having several ST-doctors (specialist trainees) and aims to be at the forefront regarding supervision. You will have the opportunity to develop the operations together with other employees and participate in improvement and quality work, both at the health centre and in connection with other healthcare services.
The doctors at the unit have joint daily meetings with our neighboring health centre and a forum with training one afternoon a month together with all permanently employed doctors in primary care.
We document in TakeCare.
