Slite Primary Care Centre is a rural health centre with approximately 5,000 registered patients, making it the smallest primary care centre on Gotland. Around 20 employees work here, jointly striving for increasingly patient-centred and accessible care. We are a health centre undergoing change and development with a strong focus on interaction, and we place medical quality and patient safety as our highest priority. In a changing world of healthcare, we prioritise based on patient needs and adapt our working methods when we see that there is a need.

Intensive work is currently underway to shift the focus from diagnosis to medical assessment, continuity, and coordination. As a fixed doctor contact in primary care, you are your patients' link to high-quality, modern, coherent care and support, accessible to all.

We work with the goal of offering our patients high accessibility and continuity with high generalist competence. In the autumn of 2022, a political decision was made on Gotland to follow the National Board of Health and Welfare's target ratio of 1/1100.

We are developing an action plan for Slite, where one of our major goals is to grow and increase our number of staff. Therefore, we need you who want to contribute to this development work through experience and engagement together with all employees at the health centre.

We wish to strengthen our general practitioner team and are looking for an engaged and flexible specialist in general medicine who wants to work as a generalist. Welcome to Slite Primary Care Centre, we are a health centre with good cohesion and great drive!

Your responsibilities

The tasks are varied, including doctor's consultations, doctor participation in special housing facilities and home care, as well as supervision of trainee doctors. On-call and standby duties are included. You will be responsible for a patient list based on the target ratio of 1/1100. You will have the opportunity to develop the operations together with other employees and participate in improvement and quality work, both at the health centre and in connection with other care.

The doctors at the unit have joint forums with training one afternoon a month together with all permanently employed doctors in primary care. We document in TakeCare.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a specialist in general medicine with permission to work within Swedish healthcare. Knowledge of Swedish equivalent to C1 is a requirement. A B-class driver's licence is required.

You are confident in your professional role and have an interest in working with many different medical issues within a broad field. You see the continuous, long-term consultation work as the primary means of helping patients achieve good health. You thrive working and taking responsibility in an environment that is varied and constantly developing.

As a person, you are sensitive to our patients' needs and your interaction is professional and humble. You are stable and adaptable in different situations and have an easy time collaborating. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

A background check through extracts from the criminal record register will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
