On the Infectious Diseases and Pulmonary Medicine ward, we treat patients with conditions such as pneumonia, sepsis, wound infections, endocarditis, lung cancer, and COPD. We also care for patients with weakened immune systems or diseases requiring isolation, such as tuberculosis.

The infectious disease ward is currently growing, and we are looking for you who want to be part of creating a new operation. Do you want to work with patients of all ages and have varied tasks? Infectious medicine is a field where conditions can change rapidly, and tasks may need to be reprioritized. This requires flexibility and experience in both nursing care and social coordination, as well as emergency handling.

On the infectious disease ward, we work in nurse-aide pairs and in teams with other professions surrounding the patient.

We strive to offer good, person-centered care and to be a workplace where everyone has the space to develop and grow. We use a preference-based scheduling system that is then coordinated based on operational needs.

Your responsibilities

As a nurse, you lead the nursing work from a holistic perspective with the patient in focus. You are responsible for nursing care and are expected to be able to prioritize and delegate tasks. You are ultimately responsible for medication management and nursing documentation. Documentation takes place in the journal systems TakeCare and Lifecare SP.

Who are you?

We see that you, as an applicant, are a registered nurse, preferably with experience and interest in lung and infectious disease care.

Having taken courses in the area is meritorious. Knowledge of different respiratory aids, such as BiPAP and high-flow therapy, is also considered a merit.

As a nurse, you are empathetic and feel calm and secure in your professional role. You can work independently and in teams, and you value both quality and patient safety. We also look for good collaboration skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt your approach based on the individual and the situation.

A background check via an extract from the criminal record will be conducted prior to the employment decision.
