The goal of home care is collaboration for good and safe care, ensuring that patients feel safe, well-treated, and involved in the design of the services we offer.

Home care is divided into multiprofessional teams consisting of district nurses/registered nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and assistant nurses. Home care is divided into three geographical areas: Northern and Central Gotland, Visby, and Southern Gotland.

Medical interventions are handled by the patient's primary healthcare centre and, in some cases, by the responsible doctor at a specialist clinic. We also work on behalf of 1177 and the palliative care team.

We are now looking for two district nurses/registered nurses for the Visby team.

Your responsibilities

As a district nurse/registered nurse in home care, you carry out planned and sometimes urgent interventions within your geographical area of responsibility. The work is free and independent, and you plan your days yourself in consultation with your colleagues. In addition to the patient-facing work involving assessments, examinations, information, and advice, you also play an important role in collaborating with occupational therapists and physiotherapists in your multiprofessional team, as well as with basic staff in home help services and doctors in primary care. The work also involves frequent contact with other external healthcare providers and patient representatives.

As a district nurse/registered nurse in home care, you work during daytime hours with duty on every fourth weekend. Some evening shifts may become relevant in the future.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with experience in the profession. A B-class driver's license is required. A specialist education is an advantage.

You are confident in making independent decisions and assessments, prioritizing based on the situation, and are accustomed to working in close collaboration with others. In addition to good teamwork skills, you are relationship-oriented in your interactions with patients and colleagues. It is important to you to be perceived as empathetic and responsive. You are a team player who sees the big picture and the best interests of the work group.
