Are you a nurse looking for a position where you can fully utilize your skills and make a real difference in the health and well-being of older people?

Region Gotland operates ten specialized residential homes for the elderly across six locations on the island, as well as a short-term care unit in Visby. Here, you will become part of a dedicated team working closely with care staff, rehabilitation teams, doctors, and other professionals. Together, we provide safe, secure, and high-quality person-centered care.

As a nurse with us, you will have an independent and varied role with significant responsibility and good opportunities to influence and develop care. You are also part of Region Gotland's combined nursing organization within elderly care, consisting of approximately 24 nurses who meet regularly for collegial support, knowledge sharing, and joint development.

We are currently looking for four nurses for our specialized residential homes in Visby and for the short-term unit.

Your responsibilities

As a nurse, you will among other things:

  • Be responsible for and coordinate the daily care work in the facility together with the unit manager.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the care staff in their daily work.
  • Perform standard patient-facing tasks such as examinations, assessments, information, and counseling.
  • Collaborate with doctors, relatives, and external care providers, and participate in care planning and discharge processes.
  • Participate in development work together with the unit manager, rehabilitation staff, and care personnel.
  • Work with quality assurance through national quality registers.
  • Lead and follow up on operations based on set goals and economic frameworks.
  • Participate in nurse meetings within Region Gotland for collegial support, experience sharing, and joint development.
  • Work in other operations within Region Gotland as needed to broaden experience, learn new working methods, and contribute to your own development.

Salary

For the position of nurse in specialized housing, the starting salary range is 35,000 - 48,000 SEK per month.

We apply individual salary setting. The final salary is determined based on education, relevant experience, competence, and responsibility in the role, as well as consideration of the current collective agreement.

Who are you?

You are a registered nurse with a genuine interest in elderly care.

It is an advantage if you have experience in elderly care and working with quality registers such as Senior Alert, Palliative Register, and BPSD. Documentation is done in Treserva and Take Care. A B-class driver's license is required.

We are looking for someone with personal maturity and confidence in your professional role who can contribute both stability and development. You are proactive and flexible, adapting easily to changes. With your ability to collaborate and your relationship-building approach, you build good contacts with colleagues, patients, and relatives. You have a strategic view of the whole picture and make decisions with good judgment, which creates security and quality in the work.

Through your commitment, you also contribute to achieving the facility's goals and keeping within economic frameworks.
