When illness or disability makes it difficult for patients to visit the health center or hospital, we are there in the home care service to offer caring medical care directly in the patient's own home.

The Home Care Service on Gotland is a unit with drive and a high development rate that meets patients' needs for care and rehabilitation in special housing and ordinary housing. The goal of the home care service is good and safe care where patients feel secure, involved, and well-treated. The home care service is planned based on geographical areas with multidisciplinary teams consisting of physiotherapists, district nurses/nurses, occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, and nursing assistants. The home care service as a workplace is characterized by a good climate with an open-door policy and proud employees, which is also reflected in our recurring results from employee surveys.

As we have several physiotherapists within the home care service, there are good opportunities for collaboration, joint and individual development, as well as mentorship and internal training. We value a good working environment and offer great opportunities to influence working hours and employment degree. In total, we have approximately 80 employees distributed across different teams around the island, and right now we are looking for two new physiotherapist colleagues. Could it be you?

Your responsibilities

The assignment involves performing rehabilitation efforts in the patients' home environment with the goal of providing each patient with the prerequisites for increased independence and participation. The work is varied and independent, and you plan your own working days in consultation with your colleagues.

The tasks include assessment, treatment, and follow-up of physiotherapeutic efforts within the home care service. Part of the work consists of guidance and instructions to care staff in daily rehabilitation measures. The work is carried out in close collaboration with an occupational therapist where you together are responsible for a geographical area and conduct home visits. You collaborate closely with nurses/district nurses and cooperate with nursing staff, as well as with other actors such as social secretaries, primary care, and inpatient care.

Who are you?

You who apply are a physiotherapist with a Swedish professional license. A B-driver's license is required.

Since the role includes training/guidance of nursing staff, it is important that you have a pedagogical approach. You should also be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and have IT skills relevant to the position. The work requires your ability to plan your own day, prioritize tasks, make independent assessments, and document.
