Quality and Development Department
The Quality and Development Unit consists of seven development managers, a medically responsible nurse (MAS) and a medically responsible person for rehabilitation (MAR), and is led by the Quality Manager. The department is responsible for cross-administrative quality and development work. We have several representatives in national networks and serve as a link between the national and local levels. Our tasks are varied and cover the entire administration.
We are now looking for a driven and confident MAS who wants to take a key role in our work to create patient-safe, modern, and person-centered care. With us, you will have the opportunity to work both strategically and operationally, and be a driving force in the development of Good and Close Care.
Your Responsibilities
As MAS, you are responsible for ensuring that health and social care within the Social Services Administration is conducted in accordance with current laws and regulations, and that patients receive safe, high-quality care. You monitor the organizations' work on patient safety and propose improvement measures based on identified deficiencies.
You play a central role in leading, developing, and ensuring the quality of social services and municipal health and social care together with development managers. The work is carried out in close collaboration with managers, employees, and external partners, especially the Health and Social Care Administration.
The role includes:
- Being an expert in the field of health and social care
- Monitoring laws and regulations and developing and following up on guidelines, especially regarding documentation, medication management, and delegation
- Scanning the external environment for quality and patient safety issues and participating in relevant forums
- Participating in and conducting quality reviews of both direct management and private providers
- Investigating and, if necessary, reporting care injuries according to Lex Maria
- Providing support, advice, and training to unit managers and nurses on patient safety and quality issues
- Supporting operations in improvement work
- Responding to referrals and writing official reports
- Compiling and following up on the annual patient safety report
- Collaborating with the region's health and social care, including primary care, inpatient care, specialist care, and psychiatry
Who are you?
We are looking for a driven, registered nurse who is confident in their professional role and wants to take a key role in developing patient-safe, modern, and person-centered care. You have broad experience within health and social care as well as experience from social services or municipal health and social care. You have also worked with quality and development issues.
You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills. A B-driving license is required for the position. The role also requires good communication skills, both verbal and written, and confidence in giving presentations.
It is meritorious if you have specialized training in a relevant area, such as elderly care or as a district nurse. It is also meritorious if you have experience working as a medically responsible nurse or in a politically governed organization. Furthermore, education in health and social care law, leadership, or quality work is seen as an advantage, as is experience working with patient safety and quality issues.
To succeed in the assignment, you need to have a consultative approach and a positive outlook. You work independently and structured while also being easy to collaborate with and create trusting relationships.
You are strategic, driven, and proactive, and have good analytical skills that allow you to assess different situations and adapt to changed conditions. In your work style, you are clear and pedagogical, and you have an easy time conveying knowledge and creating understanding in dialogue with others. You need to have a holistic view of the organization and a desire to contribute to a good work environment.
