The goal of the home care service is collaboration for good and safe care, ensuring that patients feel safe, well-treated, and involved in the design of the services we offer.

The home care service is divided into multiprofessional teams consisting of district nurses/registered nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and assistant nurses. The service is divided into three geographical areas: Northern and Central Gotland, Visby, and Southern Gotland.

Medical interventions are handled by the patient's primary healthcare center and, in some cases, by the responsible doctor at a specialist clinic. We also work on behalf of 1177 and the palliative care team.

We are currently looking for two district nurses/registered nurses for the Visby team.

Your responsibilities

As a district nurse/registered nurse within the home care service, you will carry out planned and sometimes urgent interventions within your geographical area of responsibility. The work is free and independent, and you plan your own days in consultation with your colleagues. In addition to patient-facing work involving assessments, examinations, information, and counseling, you play an important role in collaborating with occupational therapists and physiotherapists in your multiprofessional team. You also work closely with basic staff in home help services and doctors in primary care. The role involves frequent contact with other external healthcare providers and patient representatives.

As a district nurse/registered nurse within the home care service, you work during daytime hours with duty every fourth weekend. Some evening shifts may become relevant in the future.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a licensed registered nurse with experience in the profession. A B-class driver's license is required. A specialist education is considered an asset.

You are confident in making independent decisions and assessments, prioritizing based on the situation, and accustomed to working in close collaboration with others. In addition to good teamwork skills, you are relationship-oriented in your interactions with patients and colleagues. It is important to you to be perceived as empathetic and attentive. You are a team player who looks at the big picture and the best interests of the work group.
