The psychiatric care area of the Health and Medical Care Administration consists of inpatient psychiatric care, adult outpatient psychiatric care, addiction care, as well as child and adolescent psychiatry. A total of approximately 140 employees work within psychiatry. Our mission is to provide psychiatric specialist care to adults and to provide care for mental health issues to all children and adolescents up to the age of 17.

The operations offer a broad range of competencies and services, and we work according to a person-centered value base that is reflected in both patient meetings and meetings between employees and leaders. We follow the nationally developed knowledge support within mental health and work with the implementation of person-centered and coherent care processes, as well as psychiatry's own care process maps.

Here, you will be well taken care of and receive a good introduction. We work with mentorship, and you will be assigned your own mentor with whom you will have regular check-ins and who will provide support in your daily work. The team also has a team coordinator who works closely with the nurses and provides support in the nursing role.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic, you work in a team consisting of doctors, psychologists, and therapists. You serve as the primary care contact for the patients and have a coordinating function in this role. An important task is to be responsible for psychoeducational interventions for guardians, children, and adolescents, as well as follow-up of medication treatment and being part of our telephone reception.

Collaboration with neighboring healthcare providers, schools, and other agencies is also an important part of the work. The role involves both independent work and teamwork, close to your colleagues. You work during daytime hours.

Who are you?

You are a registered nurse, preferably with specialist training in psychiatry, although experience working with children and experience in psychiatry are also meritorious.

You are not just a skilled nurse but also an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good work environment. If you combine this with curiosity, attention to detail, and a desire to help develop psychiatry on Gotland, you may be the person we are looking for.
