Solrosen Dementia Care is a service housing facility for individuals with dementia, located in the heart of central Visby.

Our goal is to create a safe and homelike environment while encouraging residents to participate in various activities that preserve their self-esteem. We treat everyone with warmth and joy, fostering participation and independence. All meals served at Solrosen are prepared from scratch in our three separate department kitchens. In our work, the individual's well-being is always our top priority. We value dedicated and competent staff who are attentive to each individual's needs and provide person-centered care. We strive to create a sense of security and familiarity, which is crucial for people with dementia.

Solrosen Dementia Care consists of 30 apartments, all located on the ground floor. The facility has three departments: Solen, Rosen, and Gläntan. Staff is available 24/7, and our own nurse is on-site every weekday. Doctors from VC Visby Söder visit us weekly, along with rehabilitation staff one day a week. A staffing nurse is available during evenings, weekends, and nights.

We use clear aids and a calm, secure approach in our interactions. Our success is measured by the independence and quality of life our residents experience based on their individual conditions.

We are primarily looking for you with experience in healthcare and social services. You enjoy working in close collaboration with your colleagues. We appreciate that you are accustomed to making independent decisions and feel confident in your role. You enjoy working with and for people with care needs.

We warmly welcome your application. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, including via Teams if possible. Delegation for medication administration is a requirement, as is documentation in patient records. Training is provided during or before the introduction period, followed by a mandatory delegation exam and further training with the responsible nurse.

Introduction days are arranged according to agreement. Hourly wages are negotiated individually. A strong work ethic is a very important factor, as is proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

This is a fixed-term position for the summer, with good prospects of continuing into the autumn.

Working hours include daytime, evenings, and weekends. We are also seeking staff for night shifts, working every other weekend.

We are affiliated with the Almega/Healthcare Employers' collective agreement.
