Are you positive and do you enjoy taking good care of other people? Then you have come to the right place! For elderly care and care for people with disabilities, we welcome applicants with and without previous experience. On Gotland, you can also combine your summer job in care with a summery holiday feeling in your free time. Perfect, right?

We strive to be a flexible employer. Therefore, you can work as an hourly substitute and control your own availability, or choose a fixed schedule with working hours during the day, evening, and weekend. We also have pure night shifts available.

Note! We are currently primarily looking for substitutes who are available from week 29 onwards.

All our summer substitutes are entitled to individual salary setting as well as a wellness allowance of 250 SEK/month.

Summer Bonus & Mainland Campaign

If you can and are willing to work full-time on a fixed schedule for at least six consecutive weeks, you can take part in the summer bonus. This gives you, in addition to your regular salary:

  • 1000 SEK extra per week, at workplaces outside Visby
  • 500 SEK extra per week, at workplaces in Visby

Are you coming from the mainland to work a summer job with us? Then there is also the opportunity to use our mainland campaign. This includes travel reimbursement round trip of max 500 SEK/trip as well as a housing allowance of up to 450 SEK/day. It is fine to combine both the summer bonus and the mainland campaign, as long as you meet the conditions of each offer. We want it to be both fun and easy to choose a summer job with us!

Our Workplaces

All workplaces have a full-time standard of 37 hours/week with a schedule that involves varying working hours during the day, evening, and weekend. The night shifts are 34.33 hours/week.

Elderly homes & dementia homes: Here you work in a team together with nurses and other licensed healthcare staff to provide the residents with a good quality of life and a meaningful everyday life. The homes are staffed around the clock and are located in six locations around the island: Fårösund, Slite, Bro, Klintehamn, Roma, and Visby.

Home care: Here you visit people who live at home but have a need for various types of assistance to manage their daily lives. We have home care groups that cover the entire island and are staffed around the clock.

Short-term unit: Here you provide care to people who, for example, have been granted temporary stay for recovery after a hospital stay or for those waiting for a place in another residence. The short-term unit is located in Visby.

Care for people with disabilities: Support and motivate both children and adults in their daily lives, based on their individual needs. This includes group homes, service apartments, supported housing, and short-term homes.

When you submit your application, you choose yourself within which of the above operations you are interested in working as a summer substitute.

Your Tasks

Common to all workplaces is that you work with the user in focus for the best possible care and quality of life. Your tasks may vary depending on the workplace, but common tasks include:

  • Social time, activities, and walks
  • Cooking, cleaning, and laundry
  • Accompaniment and support in daily life
  • Personal care such as hygiene, showering, and toilet visits
  • Medication and other delegated healthcare interventions
  • Contact with relatives
  • Documentation

Who are you?

The most important thing for us is that you are genuinely interested in contributing and making a difference in other people's lives. Therefore, we see the following qualities as very important:

  • Positive, responsive, responsible, and flexible
  • Good at collaborating with others
  • Confident in the Swedish language, both spoken and written

The following are meritorious, but not a requirement:

  • Previous experience or education in the field
  • Category B driver's license, especially for services within home care

Before we can offer employment, you need to be able to show a physical, unopened extract from the police criminal record register as well as a personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency.

Our Recruitment Process

We normally get back to you within a few working days from the time we receive your application. If you proceed, you will be invited in a first step to an interview with our AI avatar Tengai.
