We are seeking one to two University Lecturers in Biomedicine for permanent positions at the Department of Medical Sciences.

Subject Area

The subject area for the appointment is: Medical Science with a focus on Biomedicine.

Background

Örebro University is a modern and rapidly growing university with a Faculty of Medicine and an affiliated university hospital. The position is based at the Department of Medical Sciences, where several research groups collaborate on research and education in areas such as biomedicine, medicine, health sciences, epidemiology, systems biology, and bioinformatics.

The current position offers the opportunity to play a key role in driving and further developing the medical program, as well as developing new biomedical education programs and courses at the department.

Responsibilities

As a University Lecturer, you will dedicate your working time to teaching at all levels and research, as well as associated collaboration. In addition to teaching, research, and collaboration, the duties include development work, administration, and professional development. Teaching also includes supervision, examination, course development, planning, and evaluation.

In this position, you are expected to establish and conduct independent research, teach within the field of biomedicine, and actively contribute to local, national, and international collaborations.

The appointment is 100% permanent, with a start date to be agreed upon. Örebro University applies individual salary setting and, where applicable, a probationary period.
