We are currently seeking a reliable and independent accounting accountant for an organization within the education sector. In this role, you will become a central part of the finance function and play a decisive role in maintaining structure, continuity, and high quality in financial reporting. You will independently handle everything from daily bookkeeping to year-end closing and budget follow-up, in close collaboration with the finance manager. About the position

As an accountant for our client, you have a broad and significant role with a focus on ensuring efficient and structured financial management. The work involves close collaboration with the finance manager where you act as support in qualified financial matters while having overall responsibility for the daily flow in the accounting system. Proactivity is valued here, and you are expected to drive the development of internal routines and processes to create a smooth and professional finance function.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing accounting
• Financial follow-up and analysis
• Preparation of monthly, interim, and annual accounts
• Financial calculations
• Budget and forecast work as well as follow-up
• Development and implementation of efficient accounting routines

We are looking for you who

• Have relevant post-secondary education in economics
• Master Swedish and English fluently in speech and writing as they are used in daily work
• Have experience working in accounting
• Have the ability to prepare monthly, interim, and annual accounts
• Have knowledge of financial calculations
• Have experience of budget and forecast work as well as follow-up with operational managers
• Have experience of payment management
• Have good knowledge of the Office package

It is an advantage if you have

• Experience working in the Pyramid accounting system
• Have a background working in the education sector
