Your New Role

We are currently seeking a driven and business-oriented Controller for an exciting assignment within the grocery retail industry. Here, you will have the opportunity to work broadly with financial follow-up, analysis, and decision support in a high-tempo organization with a strong focus on development.

In this role, you will work closely with the business operations, contributing qualified financial analysis and monitoring. You will become a key part of creating insights, driving improvements, and supporting management and executives in their decision-making processes.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Ongoing analysis of revenues, personnel costs, and other expenses

  • Identification of trends, risks, and deviations

  • Responsibility for monthly closing, including accruals and quality assurance

  • Ensuring traceability, transparency, and quality in closing documentation

  • Providing clear and pedagogical explanations for financial results

  • Conducting variance analysis against budget and forecast

  • Identifying structural changes and one-off effects

  • Actively contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Preparing decision-making materials and acting as an advisor to the business

Key Information

Assignment Scope: Full-time, 100%
Employment Type: Fixed-term contract as a consultant via JobBusters.
Start Date: Immediate.
End Date: 2026-10-31, with possibility of extension.

To be successful in this role, you need

  • Experience from market-, service-, or project-intensive operations

  • Very good knowledge of monthly closing

  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting work

  • Strong competence in variance and result analysis

  • Ability to quickly get up to speed with new operations and systems

  • Experience working closely with business and management

  • Good system skills, including financial systems, BI tools, and Excel

  • Meritorious: Experience from retail or food-related operations
