About the Department

In your role as a controller, you will belong to the Finance Department at Area 1 of the Östra Hospital. Area 1 focuses on pediatric and women's healthcare across nine operational areas. The area has approximately 3,000 employees and a turnover of around 3 billion SEK. The Finance Department consists of seven controllers and a finance manager. We work closely with the operational units together with other staff functions, such as Development and HR.

Responsibilities

You will have a decision- and process-supporting role within the finance area and work closely with the unit's managers on strategic and operational issues. You will, among other things, support work with:

• production plans, budget, follow-up, analysis, and forecasts.
• developing key and comparative figures
• participation in change management and cost calculations
• being part of the operational area's management group

The work is varied and is done both independently with a lot of personal responsibility and in teams with other controllers. As a controller at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, you are also expected to be able to contribute to work at a hospital-wide level. Our budget controller coordinates the area's budget process.

About You

To thrive in this role, you need to be analytical, have a good ability to draw conclusions, and be able to gain a good overview in complex work involving finance, production, and personnel usage. You are confident in your professional role and enjoy working independently. The role also involves many contact points and very close collaboration with others, which requires that you enjoy teamwork and are pedagogical and able to communicate financial information to the operations in a way that is understandable to them. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
