Teaching Position in French at Nolaskolan

Örnsköldsvik Gymnasium has two school buildings, Parkskolan and Nolaskolan.

We have a total of over 1800 students distributed across five college preparatory programs and ten vocational programs, as well as introductory programs and adapted upper secondary school. Örnsköldsvik Gymnasium has been designated as a training school, which means that VFU students are a regular feature in the school.

This position is located at Nolaskolan. If you commute by train or bus, it is easy to reach Nolaskolan as it is within walking distance to both the transport center and Örnsköldsvik Norra railway station.

Responsibilities

You will teach French and another subject. Your work includes teaching, planning, documentation, and contact with students and guardians. The assignment also involves participating in collaborative work with subject and work teams.

Your responsibilities include mentorship for a number of students. This includes a significant responsibility to follow up and support your mentee students and to actively participate in student health work.

The position's scope is 40-100% depending on what we agree upon.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher at the upper secondary level with subject qualifications in French and another subject.

We seek someone who enjoys being challenged and thinking innovatively, who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is a given for you.

We would like you to have experience in leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are attentive, responsible, engaged, and creative.
