Description

Do you want to take full responsibility for providing the best digital conditions for 50,000 students in Gothenburg? In this role, you will combine strategic, tactical, and operational work to ensure that schools receive the right support in a cutting-edge technical environment.

You will drive initiatives ranging from requirements specification in procurements to the operational everyday life surrounding student computers and our Google environment.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a role where you manage complex flows while leading networks and collaborating with various stakeholders.

With us, you will be part of the unit for administrative support and service, where we lead, develop, and coordinate work with administrative processes, operational systems, and digital tools. The unit consists of administrators, system managers, and development leaders.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will have a broad responsibility for developing and shaping the school's digital environment. You will drive initiatives that make a tangible difference in operations – from strategic decisions to how things actually work in the daily life of schools. The work is both strategic and operational, and you move naturally between planning, collaboration, and implementation, sometimes also on-site at schools.

You will, among other things:

  • drive strategic requirements specification and procurement, representing the needs of the primary school administration in collaboration with the Procurement Company and Intraservice
  • have overall responsibility for lifecycle management (LCM) of student computers – from needs and financing to delivery and retrieval
  • be responsible for supplier management and collaboration with the city's IT functions, manufacturers, and suppliers
  • lead the system management of Google Workspace and the development of a stable and purpose-built digital platform
  • provide operational support to the schools' IT managers and drive networks for knowledge exchange and development
  • contribute strategic representation in city-wide forums, including IT workplace and circular IT

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in IT or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • Several years of documented experience in lifecycle management (LCM) of hardware on a larger scale
  • Good knowledge of Google Workspace (Google for Education)
  • Experience in supplier collaboration, including requirements specification and follow-up
  • Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in public procurement (LOU)
  • Experience from the school sector or understanding of pedagogical IT needs
  • Experience in leading workgroups or projects
  • Knowledge of sustainability and circular IT

To succeed in this role, you are structured and have a good ability to prioritize, even when the pace is high and many questions are ongoing simultaneously. You thrive in a role where you switch between strategic work and operational efforts, taking responsibility for driving the work forward.

You are a skilled relationship builder who collaborates well with various actors, both internally and externally. Through clear and attentive communication, you create trust and get traction for your ideas.

As a person, you are solution-oriented and see opportunities for improvement that you can also implement in practice.

Does this sound like a description of you? We warmly welcome your application.

Other

As an employee in our administration, you will be offered, among other things, wellness grants, bicycle benefits, and employee support.

A criminal record extract from the police may need to be presented before employment.

In preparation for this recruitment, we have made decisions regarding recruitment channels and therefore kindly decline further offers of competence mediation, advertising, and recruitment assistance.

We only accept applications via our recruitment system in accordance with GDPR.
