Do you want to work in a key role where you contribute to developing and strengthening the operations of the Swedish Armed Forces? As a Master Data Coordinator, you are an important resource in creating structure, quality, and coherence in the organization’s information – from development to management.
About the Unit
The Defense Staff supports the Armed Forces leadership by processing and preparing incoming cases, questions, and tasks, while ensuring that decided operations are carried out and reported back.
The section is responsible for coordinating the development and management of the Armed Forces' war organization (KRO) and basic organization (GRO), as well as maintaining the authority's governance of the war placement work. The section is located at the Defense Staff in Stockholm.
The Organizational Section ensures that the Armed Forces' organization reflects current decisions and that correct data and master data are available in all of the authority's support systems.
Main Responsibilities
As a Master Data Coordinator, you will coordinate the management, development, and use of master data across the organization – regardless of system, operational area, or working method. You will work from a lifecycle perspective and ensure that shared data is quality assured, coordinated, and usable in several of the Armed Forces' central support systems.
The role is operationally close and involves supporting development, maintenance, and management work, where you contribute with a holistic perspective, analysis, and coordination.
Your main responsibilities:
- Coordinate stakeholders and provide advisory support to decision-makers
- Ensure uniform, quality-assured, and synchronized master data
- Support process leaders in development and improvement work
- Contribute to requirements specification and development of IT services
- Coordinate regulations, standards, and needs related to master data
- Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of system support
- Contribute to business architecture and information security analysis
- Promote high data quality, accessibility, and long-term sustainability
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Approved upper secondary education
- Current experience in a relevant field for the role within a larger organization, preferably a government agency
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel
- Very good knowledge of SAP
- Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish

DESIRABLE
- Experience of relevant work in the Armed Forces
- Experience in project management with a focus on implementation and change
- Experience working in PRIO/SAP

Employment type: permanent employment. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.

At the Headquarters, there is the Chief of Defense and the Director General. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. The Headquarters consists from 2023-01-01 of the Defense Staff, operations management, military intelligence and security service, as well as the Headquarters' staff department and independent supervisory units.
An employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. A security review with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. With employment comes an obligation to be placed in wartime. The nature of this obligation varies depending on the type of position.
